¡Atrévete! Small Business Pitch Competition, Aims to Increase Opportunities for Latine-led Small Business Growth in Chicago’s Underserved Communities

Chicago, IL — June 18, 2026 ¡Atrévete! Pitch Competition will be held on October 17th , 2026 at mHub in Chicago from 12:30pm-5:00pm. The competition is organized in collaboration by Foundation of Little Village (FLV) and Northwest Side Community Development Corporation (NWSCDC), two Latine-led community organizations that recognize the importance of increasing the number of minority-owned businesses in Chicago.

¡Atrévete! is, currently, Chicago’s only business pitch competition held completely in Spanish for aspiring business owners in Chicago to pitch their business ideas to a panel of expert judges with their community and neighbors cheering them on. The competition, which will provide cash prize investments and advising sessions to the selected winners, is only open to past program participants of the Juntos Avanzamos training series, an educational cohort that is facilitated yearly by Foundation of Little Village and Northwest Side CDC as a collective.
