The Little Village Community Foundation (LVCF) and the Little Village Chamber of Commerce (LVCC) announced today the consolidation of ownership interests of the planned Xquina Incubator and Café. Little Village residents, elected officials and members from the American Legion Post 1017 unveiled a new mural on Veterans Day Thursday to honor the life of veteran Manuel Pérez Jr., who was killed in action during World War II.

La Fundación Comunitaria de La Villita anunció la presentación de un nuevo mural que honra al ganador de la medalla de honor del congreso PFC Manuel Perez Jr. Este mural nuevo estará ubicado en la plaza Manuel Pérez Jr Memorial que se encuentra ubicada en la 4345 W 26th St. Este es el único monumento en Illinois a los veteranos que lleva el nombre de un mexicano- americano.
